Standox 2K Special Matt allows a level of matt finish beyond those required by car manufacturers. Refinishers add just the amount needed to Standocryl 2K HS Clear to match the matt level on the vehicle. The clear coat is then mixed with hardener and thinner for spraying. Adding Standox 2K Special Matt does not affect the physical and chemical performance of the clearcoat, which remains easy to apply and highly durable.
The matted clearcoat is applied to the coloured basecoat in two spray passes. After 40-45 minutes of drying at an object temperature of 60-65°C, the result is evenly matt and perfect.
